From creamy yellow Cavendish varieties to the ruby-red Nendran, the country boasts a diverse range of bananas cultivated across various regions. But where exactly does this "Banana Bonanza" come from?

Let's delve into the top banana-producing states in India:

Andhra Pradesh: The Undisputed King (5.8 Million Tonnes)

Andhra Pradesh reigns supreme as the top banana producer in India. With fertile lands and a favorable climate, the state boasts a production of a staggering 5.8 million tonnes annually. Nellore, Anantapur, and Krishna districts are the major contributors, cultivating a variety of bananas, including the popular Cavendish and the local favorite, the Robusta.
