TURIN / Italy, 4 June 2023: FPT Industrial, a brand of the Iveco Group dedicated to innovative mobility solutions, is powering the new and unique New Holland TE6 Straddle Tractor Range with its F36 Stage V engine.
The TE6.120N and TE6.150N models are specifically designed for narrow vineyards, offering extreme maneuverability and compact dimensions.
The key features of the TE6 Straddle Tractor range are its multifunctionality, maneuverability, compact design, and power. The FPT Industrial F36 Stage V engine plays a crucial role in ensuring the perfect functionality and synergy of these tractors.
The TE6.120N model is equipped with the F36 86 kW engine, while the TE6.150N model is powered by the F36 105 kW engine. Both engines are mid-row longitudinally mounted to achieve better weight distribution. The Stage V compact ATS (After Treatment System) ensures excellent all-round visibility. The engines also feature a new single cooling block that combines water, oil, and air, along with dual fans. Integrated fuel, urea, and oil tanks facilitate quick and convenient refilling operations.
The design of the new Straddle Tractor range draws inspiration from the Straddle Tractor Concept, a collaborative effort between New Holland and Italian design firm Pininfarina. The concept tractor, which won the Good Design Award and the German Design Award in 2022, showcased a futuristic and stylish look inspired by the shape of a glass of Champagne, paying homage to premium winemakers in Champagne, Médoc, and Burgundy.
The TE6.120N and TE6.150N models are specifically tailored for prestigious wine-producing regions, particularly adapting to narrow French vineyards and similar terrains. They are highly multifunctional, featuring three independent tool zones that allow for multiple implement combinations.
The FPT Industrial F5 series, which includes the F36 engine, provides a compact and flexible solution for light and mid-range applications. These engines deliver high performance while ensuring low operating costs. With their optimized turbochargers and pistons, the F5 series engines offer exceptional power and torque density for applications above and below 56 kW, with engine sizes of 3.4 liters and 3.6 liters, respectively.
FPT Industrial's innovative solutions not only reduce fuel consumption but also simplify maintenance, resulting in reduced total cost of ownership. To meet Stage V emissions requirements, the F36 engine features HI-eSCR2, a maintenance-free system that represents another milestone in FPT Industrial's extensive experience with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology.
The technical specifications of the F36 86 kW and F36 105 kW engines include Stage V / Tier 4 Final certification, four cylinders, four valves, a common rail injection system at 1800 bar, a turbocharger, a displacement of 3.6 liters, a bore x stroke of 102 x 110 mm, and maximum power outputs of 86 kW and 105 kW at 2300 rpm, respectively. The engines also deliver impressive torque levels, with the F36 86 kW model producing 506 Nm at 1300 rpm, and the F36 105 kW model generating 600 Nm at 1500 rpm.
