HYDERABAD, 25 December 2025: Marut Drone Academy in collaboration with Kastur Drones announced the launch of the first Remote Pilot Training Organization (RPTO) in Warangal District, Telangana.

Run by a woman instructor, the training academy in Dharmaram is designed to offer aspiring drone pilots the highest standard of education and hands-on training to become DGCA certified drone pilots.

The facility spanning 2,000 square feet is equipped with modern classrooms, advanced simulators, a fully functional drone lab, and office space. The RPTO also features three designated fly zones where students can receive practical training in real-world settings. These zones are specifically designed to give students valuable experience operating drones in various conditions, ensuring they are well-prepared for the skies.

Speaking on the launch, Sai Kumar Chinthala, CEO of Marut Drones Academy said, “The academy’s programs are crafted to provide students from Warangal and nearby areas with the skills needed to operate drones safely and confidently, also ensuring full compliance with DGCA regulations. As part of Marut Drone Academy’s initiative to make skilling centres more accessible to people in rural areas, particularly in agricultural regions, we recognized the importance of offering technological training in tier 2 and 3 cities like Warangal. This will allow individuals to acquire new skills without the need to travel to Hyderabad. Instead of bringing them to the city, we decided to bring the technology directly to their doorstep. With the growing use of drones in sectors such as agriculture, logistics, filmmaking, and surveillance, Marut Drone Academy is dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship in Tier 2 and 3 cities, where there is an increasing demand for employment opportunities. Cities like Warangal, with their growing youth population, hold significant potential for skill development and nurturing the next generation of agri-entrepreneurs.”

Ms. Sireesha Katragadda and Praveen Kumar, Founders & Directors of Kastur Drones said, “Our mission at the academy is to empower students, women, farmers, and industries with the knowledge and skills necessary to harness the power of drone technology. Through our partnership with Marut, we aim to share our expertise and insights with a wider audience, providing valuable content and resources for drone enthusiasts and professionals. We truly believe that drone technology has the potential to transform and revolutionize how we live and work. Our goal is to equip individuals with the skills needed to seize new employment opportunities and pursue entrepreneurship.”

Marut Drone Academy will offer a range of DGCA-approved drone training courses, including the Remote Pilot Certificate Course, the Drone Repair & Maintenance Course, and Agri specialization course. The instructors at the academy are DGCA-certified and have extensive experience in the drone industry. They are fluent in Telugu, Hindi, and English, ensuring that a diverse range of students can access top-tier drone education.

Each training batch will consist of 8 to 10 students, allowing for personalized attention and hands-on experience with the latest drone technology. Notably, the academy is also thrilled to have a female instructor on board, contributing to the diversity and inclusivity of the training program.

With its state-of-the-art facilities, experienced instructors, and commitment to quality education, Marut Drone Academy is poised to generate economic and employment opportunities in districts and help individuals navigate the rapidly evolving drone industry by empowering them with technology aimed at shaping the future of agriculture.
