NEW DELHI, 20 December 2025: India’s agricultural marketing ecosystem is being strengthened through Agmarknet 2.0 and the e-National Agriculture Market (e-NAM), enabling farmers to access real-time mandi price intelligence and make informed selling decisions.

The Government of India has been implementing the Marketing Research and Information Network (MRIN) since 2000 to improve market transparency. Under this initiative, the Agmarknet Portal integrates Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMCs) nationwide to disseminate real-time price and arrival data. In November 2025, the platform was upgraded to Agmarknet Portal 2.0, enhancing speed, usability, and data reliability.

As of now, 4,367 mandis across India are linked to Agmarknet, with continuous onboarding of new markets. To ensure last-mile accessibility, the government has also launched the Agmarknet 2.0 Mobile App, allowing on-the-spot mandi data entry and enabling farmers to track prices and arrivals directly on their smartphones.

Complementing Agmarknet, the e-National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) operates as a demand-driven digital trading platform. Mandis are integrated based on proposals from State Governments and UTs, depending on readiness. Currently, 1,522 mandis are onboarded on e-NAM.

The e-NAM portal and mobile app display real-time prices for all traded commodities, support online bidding for transparent price discovery, and facilitate e-payments to ensure timely farmer remuneration. Additionally, the e-NAM mobile app provides free price information for 247 notified commodities, helps farmers locate nearby e-NAM mandis, view prevailing rates, and access route guidance.

Together, Agmarknet 2.0 and e-NAM are key digital infrastructure pillars driving transparency, efficiency, and farmer empowerment in India’s agricultural markets.
