NEW DELHI, 11 December 2025: DCM Shriram Limited and Bayer CropScience Limited have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly advance innovation-led, sustainable, and future-ready agriculture in India. The agreement sets a broad framework for collaboration across agri-inputs, digital advisory services, and climate-resilient farming practices.
Under the partnership, the two organisations will explore synergies in crop protection, seeds, specialty plant nutrition, biologicals, and digital farming platforms. Both companies will also assess opportunities to support farmer producer organisations and strengthen sustainable agriculture programs, including pilots on soil health, carbon sequestration and integrated crop management. Select areas of collaboration in chemicals will also be evaluated.
Mr. Ajay S. Shriram, Chairman & Senior Managing Director, and Mr. Vikram S. Shriram, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of DCM Shriram Ltd, said the partnership aims to create long-term value for farming communities. “By combining complementary strengths, we hope to support productive and sustainable agriculture while benefitting the wider ecosystem,” they said.
Mr. Simon Wiebusch, Chief Executive Officer of Bayer CropScience Ltd, observed that Indian agriculture is entering a phase where resilience and value-chain integration are essential. “This collaboration enables us to scale solutions, enhance market access, and create lasting positive impact for farmers,” he noted.
By integrating Bayer’s global capabilities in advanced crop solutions with DCM Shriram’s strong rural network and agri-business expertise, the partnership is expected to enhance farm productivity, strengthen value chains, and promote climate-smart practices that improve farmer livelihoods.
