Amul became the first Indian brand to partner with AFA as a regional sponsor in 2022, a milestone in Argentine football’s commercial engagement with the Indian market. Since AFA’s formal entry into India in 2021, the partnership has significantly strengthened brand visibility and fan engagement, tapping into India’s rapidly growing football audience.
As part of the renewed collaboration, Amul and AFA plan to launch a special range of Amul products featuring Argentine national team players, alongside exclusive fan merchandise for Indian consumers over the coming year. The initiative aims to deepen emotional connect with fans while leveraging football’s mass appeal.
AFA President Claudio Fabián Tapia said the renewal reflects Argentina’s growing footprint in India and Amul’s role as a trusted long-term partner, adding that the association reinforces AFA’s global brand expansion strategy.

AFA’s Commercial and Marketing Director Leandro Petersen said the fourth consecutive renewal demonstrates strong brand synergy and consumer impact, positioning the Amul–AFA alliance as a consolidated presence in India ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
