BHARUCH, 19 June 2025: Safex Chemicals, a key player in the specialty chemicals and agri-input sector, has announced the commissioning of its newest and largest manufacturing facility in Bharuch, Gujarat. Operational from April 2025, the facility marks a major step forward in the company’s nationwide expansion strategy and reaffirms its commitment to Indian agriculture and innovation.

The new facility is equipped to manufacture a diverse range of liquid and powder crop protection formulations, adding 30 MT/day initial liquid capacity, scalable up to 80 MT/day, significantly increasing Safex’s current pan-India capacity of over 51,395 MT.

"This facility reflects Safex’s vision of empowering Indian farmers with reliable, high-performance crop protection solutions," said S.K. Chaudhary, Chairman, Safex Chemicals. "Strategically located in Bharuch, it boosts supply chain efficiency across western, central, and southern India and supports our agritech platform, Golden Farms."

A Hub for R&D and Sustainability

Incorporating cutting-edge technology, the Bharuch plant features automated production lines and a dedicated R&D centre focused on developing advanced formulations to meet the evolving needs of farmers. The facility also aligns with Safex's sustainability goals, housing a 100 KW solar power unit and adhering to strict EHS protocols.

The expansion will generate approximately 300 direct jobs, reinforcing Safex’s workforce of over 1,550 professionals globally. The company also emphasizes community development through CSR programs in education, basic amenities, and youth sports in the surrounding regions.

Safex now operates eight manufacturing units globally, with this being its seventh in India. The Bharuch facility is set to become a global benchmark for quality manufacturing and innovation in crop protection.
