The EcoVadis assessment is based on 21 criteria across four themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. It aligns with leading global standards such as the UN Global Compact, ILO conventions, and ISO 26000.
Alltech’s PDMM facility in Vietnam — its first organic mineral production plant in the country and eighth globally — began operations in Q2 2022. It has since integrated several green production initiatives including a CNG combustion burner, heat recovery systems, air compressor/chiller upgrades, and a rooftop solar power installation.
These steps have helped reduce carbon emissions significantly, contributing to Alltech’s global purpose of “Working Together for a Planet of Plenty.”
Only 32 companies across all sectors in Vietnam have earned a Silver Medal from EcoVadis to date, and just six have achieved this distinction in 2025.
“Alltech’s sustained investment in sustainable agriculture in Asia is a testament to our commitment to supporting farmers, advancing green technology, and strengthening local economies,” said Dr. Mark Lyons, President and CEO of Alltech.
“This Silver Medal is a strong endorsement of the PDMM team’s dedication to ESG goals and continuous innovation in feed supplement production,” said Tara McCarthy, Alltech’s Global Vice President of ESG. “Sustainability is core to how we operate every day.”
The company’s recognition by EcoVadis not only reflects its internal sustainability goals but also contributes to the broader objective of climate-smart food production in the region.
