NEW DELHI, 5 March 2024: Otipy, the pioneering agritech start-up has joined the ONDC, to make farm fresh fruits and vegetables available to consumers on the ONDC Network. This integration ensures Otipy's catalog is visible on various apps, making it easy to discover and enabling smooth transactions on the growing Network.

As Otipy onboards the Open Network, it is set to expand its customer reach, making its products available to a wider audience through popular ONDC seller apps like Pincode (by PhonePe) and Paytm apps. This move aims to strengthen the brand's presence in Delhi/NCR and Mumbai contributing to the growth of Online Platform Demand (OPD). Moreover, it will also focus on bulk procurement directly from Farmers and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), creating opportunities for sustained growth and improving supply chain dynamics.

Through ONDC Network, Otipy aspires to establish numerous consumer touchpoints by leveraging disruptive innovations.

Varun Khurana, Founder & CEO, Otipy said,"As we join the ONDC Network, it helps us in expanding our reach to varied customer segments. Through the Network we not only plan to enrich buyer choices but also elevate the shopping experience, facilitating inclusivity in a dynamic ecommerce landscape. With ONDC Network, it also strengthens our commitment to reduce fresh produce waste and empower local communities. This is a testament to our dedication in making safe, high-quality fruits and vegetables easily accessible to all consumers. We are confident to contribute positively to sustainability and growth, creating a lasting impact on the evolution of a new open ecommerce ecosystem."

T Koshy, MD & CEO, ONDC said, "With Otipy on the Open Network, it not only stands to benefit from an extensive reach of the network but also reinforces its commitment to fostering a sustainable and inclusive ecommerce framework. A D2C catalog of farm-fresh fruits, vegetables and groceries will certainly enhance customer choices that champion direct procurement directly from farmers and FPOs. This strongly underscores our dedication to reducing food waste, empowering local communities, and driving positive growth within the ecosystem."

India's tech stack is growing rapidly, and initiatives like ONDC Protocol are playing a crucial role in driving innovation and growth. By coming onboard ONDC Network, the brand is well-positioned to take its products to new customers across the region.
