THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, 6 November 2025: Milma’s Thiruvananthapuram and Malabar Regional Unions have embarked on a comprehensive and transparent recruitment drive to fortify the organisation’s human resource pool and enhance production capacity, announced Dairy Development and Animal Husbandry Minister Smt. J. Chinchurani in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday.
With 198 permanent posts open at Thiruvananthapuram Regional Co-operative Milk Producers' Union (TRCMPU), and 47 at the Malabar union, this marks TRCMPU’s first major recruitment effort in 12 years. Minister Chinchurani stressed that this initiative is pivotal for strengthening Milma’s operations while creating opportunities for new entrants into the dairy sector.
Addressing the media, TRCMPU Chairperson Smt. Mani Vishwanath, Milma MD Shri Asif K Yusuf IAS, and TRCMPU MD Shri R Rararaj KAS highlighted the importance of this recruitment round, noting the state’s approval for job reservation for dairy farmers and dependents under the new guidelines crafted by an eight-member panel. Standard reservation provisions for SC/ST communities and differently abled candidates will also be implemented in keeping with government policy.
Minister Chinchurani added that the recruitment aims to attract more youth to the dairy sector and underscores the government's commitment to tackling unemployment by filling existing vacancies within Milma’s regional units.
