MUMBAI, 4 October 2025: Gromax Agri Equipment Ltd. (formerly Mahindra Gujarat Tractor Ltd), a joint venture between Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and the Government of Gujarat, on Friday launched eight new tractors across 2WD and 4WD segments, including India’s first factory-fitted cabin tractor in the sub-50 HP category.
The newly introduced tractors, powered by Gromax’s fuel-efficient diesel engines and advanced gearbox technology, are designed to address a wide range of agricultural applications such as orchard cultivation, areca-nut farming, inter-cultivation, puddling, haulage, and specialized crop management.
Under its Trakstar Kavach series, Gromax has debuted India’s first cabin tractor in the under-50 HP category. The cabin, currently offered in a non-air-conditioned variant, provides farmers with protection against dust, weather, and heat, ensuring comfort and year-round productivity. An air-conditioned option will follow in the next phase.
Veejay Nakra, President, Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said: “At Gromax, our mission is to deliver reliable farm machinery that meets evolving agricultural needs. By introducing India’s first sub-50 HP cabin tractor and launching eight models in a single day, we aim to empower farmers with productivity, affordability, and value.”
The new line-up includes the Trakstar 525 series for inter-cultivation and orchard farming, the Trakstar 540 HT for haulage and puddling, the Trakstar 540 Orchard for areca-nut farming, and the Trakstar 545 and 550 4WD tractors for heavy-duty agricultural applications, alongside the Trakstar 550 HT for multi-utility tasks.
Coinciding with the festive season, Gromax tractors will be available across dealerships in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. Dealers are also offering festive consumer schemes and assured gifts with every purchase.
The company has further strengthened its brand presence with the launch of its second digital video commercial under the “Sabse Sahi Chunaav” campaign, highlighting its tractors as the most suitable choice for Indian farmers in terms of performance, productivity, and profitability.
