India’s largest tractor manufacturer, the Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) Group, led the growth, selling 51,769 units — an increase of 12.82% over the 45,888 units sold last year. Its market share also improved to 45.94% from 45%, indicating a 0.95% gain.

Meanwhile, Escorts Kubota faced a marginal decline of 0.13%, selling 10,997 units against 11,011 units last year, with its market share dropping to 9.76% from 10.80%.
John Deere, another major player, recorded sales of 8,810 units, a growth of 9.81% over 8,023 units sold in June 2024. Its market share, however, saw a minor decline to 7.82% from 7.87%.

Other brands posted mixed results. Captain Tractors sold 500 units, registering a 13.38% increase with a stable market share of 0.44%. Indo Farm grew 6.45%, selling 396 units, while Preet saw a 3.77?cline, selling 383 units compared to 398 units last year.
VST recorded a modest 1.99% increase, selling 359 tractors, though its market share fell to 0.32% from 0.35%. ACE grew by 1% to 202 units, but its market share slipped to 0.18% from 0.20%.
SDF reported the most impressive growth percentage-wise, selling 60 tractors in June 2025, a rise of 39.53% from 43 units last year, with market share edging up to 0.05%.
Overall, the positive momentum in tractor sales was driven by robust rural demand, favourable crop patterns, and improved liquidity in the agriculture sector. Analysts expect continued traction in the coming months, supported by government schemes and mechanisation trends.
While M&M, TAFE, and New Holland emerged as clear winners in the June 2025 report, brands such as Escorts, Sonalika, and Preet saw a slight decline in market presence, highlighting the competitive dynamics in India’s tractor industry.
