NEW DEHLI, 19 January 2026: Sattvik Certifications will host the world’s first dedicated Vegetarian Certification Conclave, SATCON 2026, on 19 January in New Delhi, marking a landmark moment for the global ethical food movement. The full-day event at Le Méridien is expected to draw more than 250 participants from FMCG, luxury hospitality, education, certification bodies and policymaking institutions.

Organisers said SATCON 2026 aims to accelerate the adoption of verified vegetarian and vegan food systems by creating a collaborative platform for industry, regulators and consumers. Delegates from seven countries – including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the UAE, Qatar and South Korea – will participate, underlining the growing international demand for credible vegetarian certification frameworks.

The conclave is structured around three core pillars – Consciousness, Connect and Collaboration – designed to foster knowledge sharing and actionable partnerships. Panel discussions will cover education-driven Sattvik awareness, opportunities in conscious luxury hospitality, leadership strategies for ethical growth, mindful culinary practices and alignment with global food standards.

Abhishek Biswas, founder of Sattvik Certifications, said the event represents years of purpose-driven work. “SATCON 2026 connects intent with action, policy with practice, and purity with progress. Our mission is to build a safer, more conscious food ecosystem grounded in trust,” he said.

Chief guests at the conclave include Jharkhand Governor and former Union Minister Santosh Gangwar, Union Minister of State B.L. Verma and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Arjun Ram Meghwal. Gangwar said such platforms play a critical role in bridging gaps between industry, policymakers and consumers. “Dialogue and collaboration help align regulatory intent with industry practices and consumer expectations,” he noted.

Verma emphasised that consumer trust is fundamental to a strong food economy, adding that initiatives like SATCON strengthen transparency and accountability across the value chain. Meghwal highlighted the importance of constructive engagement between policymakers and certification bodies to improve compliance and implementation of food laws.

Rooted in Vedic principles of purity and balance, SATCON 2026 seeks to set global benchmarks for food safety, sustainability and ethical consumption. Industry observers view the conclave as a strategic step toward institutionalising vegetarian certification standards at a time when demand for verified plant-based products is surging worldwide.

As the first event of its kind, SATCON 2026 is expected to shape policy discourse and industry practices, positioning India as a global leader in conscious and certified vegetarian food systems.
