HYDERABAD, 11 November 2025: The 17th edition of Poultry India Expo 2025, South Asia’s largest poultry exhibition, was officially announced at a curtain-raiser press meet in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The event will take place from November 26 to 28 at Hitex Exhibition Centre, Hitech City, with Poultry Knowledge Day scheduled for November 25 at HICC Novotel.
Uday Singh Bayas, President of the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA - Poultry India), said the annual expo will spotlight innovations in poultry health, nutrition, breeding, feed manufacturing, and production technologies.
“This year’s expo is set to attract over 45,000 participants from 35 to 50 countries and will feature around 500 exhibitors showcasing world-class products and solutions,” Bayas said. “Delegations from several international ministries, including the Ministry of Agriculture of Uganda, are expected to attend to learn from India’s rapid growth in poultry production.”
India is currently the second-largest egg producer and fourth-largest chicken producer in the world. Bayas noted that the poultry industry embodies the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and supports the government’s Viksit Bharat@2047 agenda. He added that increasing egg and chicken consumption could help reduce undernutrition and underweight prevalence in rural India due to their high protein value.
The press meet was attended by key industry leaders including K.G. Anand (Venkateshwara Hatcheries Ltd), Chitturi Suresh Rayadu (Srinivasa Farma Pvt Ltd), Dr. K. Balaswamy (National Egg & Chicken Promotion Council), K. Mohan Reddy (Telangana Poultry Federation), and Naveen Pasuparthy (Karnataka Poultry Farmers & Breeders Association).
Other dignitaries included Valsan P. (All India Poultry Products Exporters Association), Dr. Ravinder Reddy (Telangana Poultry Breeders Association), and Gurram Chandra Shekhar Reddy (NECC Hyderabad Zone).
The session was presided over by IPEMA President Uday Singh Bayas, alongside founding members Anil Dhumal, Chakradhar Rao, M. Srikanth, and Natarajan.
The gathering concluded with optimism about India’s growing leadership in the global poultry sector and the opportunities the upcoming expo will offer for innovation and collaboration.
