PUNE 15 June 2023: Sistema.bio, a global social enterprise specializing in innovative biogas technology, today inaugurated the world's largest manufacturing facility for biogas plants in Pune, India.

The new facility, which is located in Chakan, has an annual production capacity of 100,000 biogas plants.

The investment in the new facility is part of Sistema.bio's commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving the lives of smallholder farmers in India and around the world. The company's biogas plants convert organic waste into clean energy and fertilizer, which can help farmers reduce their reliance on fossil fuels and improve crop yields.

"It will allow us to scale up our operations and reach more farmers with our innovative biogas technology. We are committed to helping farmers reduce their environmental impact and improve their livelihoods, and this new facility is a major step in that direction."

The new facility will create hundreds of jobs in Pune and the surrounding area. It is also expected to have a significant economic impact on the region, as it will help to attract new businesses and investment.
