DEHRADUN, 29 May 2025: The Department of Agriculture at Uttaranchal University, in partnership with Agronomy Department at Agri Joy, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art indoor hydroponics farm on campus.
The facility enables controlled-environment cultivation of high-value crops like medicinal plants, aromatic herbs, and leafy greens, independent of weather and soil constraints.
This initiative provides students with hands-on training in modern agritech and hydroponic farming, boosting practical skills in sustainable agriculture. University students actively manage daily operations, gaining valuable experience in R&D crop trials under controlled conditions.
Chandramani Kumar, reflecting on his own academic days, sees this collaboration as a pivotal step to drive innovation in agronomy education and benefit future generations of agriculture professionals.
