GURUGRAM, 11 November 2025: The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) will host the International Conference on Agri-Inputs for Sustainable Agriculture and Climate (AISAC-2025) from November 12–14, 2025, at TERI Gram, Gwal Pahari, Gurugram.

Organized by TERI’s Sustainable Agriculture Programme (SAP), the three-day global conference will bring together scientists, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss innovations in nano and biological agri-inputs aimed at improving soil health, nutrient efficiency, and climate resilience in agriculture.

The conference will be inaugurated by Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Minister for Industries, Food & Supplies, Environment, Forest & Wildlife, Government of Delhi. His participation highlights the importance of agricultural innovation in supporting food security and environmental sustainability.

“AISAC-2025 offers a timely platform to align scientific innovation with sustainability imperatives in agriculture,” said Dr Vibha Dhawan, Director General, TERI. “Through collaboration between researchers, industries, and policymakers, we aim to accelerate the transition to eco-efficient agri-inputs that support productivity and environmental health.”

Dr Pushplata Singh, Director, Centre for Nano Research and Agricultural Biotechnology at TERI, added that integrating nano and biological solutions could help achieve food security while reducing the environmental footprint of farming activities.

The conference will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, stakeholder consultations, and workshops, culminating in the release of a White Paper outlining actionable strategies for research, product development, and regulatory updates under India’s Fertiliser (Control) Order (FCO) and the Central Insecticides Board & Registration Committee (CIB&RC).

Key Highlights

Day 1 – Nano for Agri 2025:

Sessions will explore research and regulatory perspectives on nanotechnology for sustainable agriculture, with keynote speakers including Prof. Melanie Kah (University of Auckland), Dr Marta Andrea Alfaro (AgResearch, New Zealand), Dr Amit Rastogi (Coromandel International), and Dr Nicolas Tsesmetzis (Shell Global). A panel chaired by Mr Ashish K. Srivastava (Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals) will discuss product development and regulatory advances.

Day 2 – Biological Solutions for Sustainable Agriculture:

The second day will focus on innovations in biofertilizers, biostimulants, and biopesticides, featuring experts such as Dr Jason C. White (Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, USA), Prof. Matthew Clarke (Deakin University, Australia), and Dr Mahaveer P. Sharma (ICAR). Discussions will examine policy frameworks, microbial consortia, and pathways for commercialization of bio-based agri-inputs.

Day 3 – Workshop and Training:

Hands-on sessions will train researchers and industry professionals in quality control of nanofertilizers and biofertilizers, led by TERI scientists including Dr Pushplata Singh, Dr Leena Johny, and Dr Sanjay Saxena.

Venue

The event will be held at TERI Gram, TERI’s 104-acre sustainable campus in Gwal Pahari, Gurugram. The site serves as a “living lab” for green technologies, renewable energy, and climate-smart agriculture — making it an ideal venue for discussions on sustainable farming futures.
