Maharashtra CET Cell begins UG agriculture admissions; 17,776 seats open, apply by July 17 through maha-agriadmission.in. Provisional merit list on July 21.

PUNE, 6 July 2025: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has initiated the admission process for undergraduate agriculture and allied degree programs for 2024, with the application window now open until July 17.

Students who appeared for the MHT-CET 2024 in the PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) group are eligible to apply. According to the CET Cell, a total of 17,776 seats are available across nine programs including B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Sc. Horticulture, B.Sc. Forestry, B.F.Sc. (Fisheries Science), B.Tech. Food Technology, B.Tech. Biotechnology, B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering, B.Sc. Community Science, and B.Sc. Agri-Business Management.

CET Cell Commissioner Dilip Sardesai said, “All necessary procedures are in place, and student registration for CAP rounds is now officially underway.”

As per the notified schedule, the provisional merit list will be declared on July 21 after 5:30 PM, with a window for grievance submission from July 22 to 24. The list of resolved grievances will be published on July 25, and details of vacant seats for CAP Round 1 will be displayed on July 26.

Students can select their course preferences on July 27 and 28, with the Round 1 allotment list scheduled for release on July 30. Candidates allotted seats must confirm their admission between July 31 and August 2 at the allotted colleges.

Mangesh Nikam, examination coordinator, noted that so far, 4,531 candidates have registered, but only 81 have paid the application fee.

Eligible candidates can apply through the official portal, https://maha-agriadmission.in, and must complete document verification at designated facilitation centres.
