NOIDA, 10 July 2025: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), in collaboration with the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACe) and academia, has launched a short-term certification course aimed at integrating space technology with modern agriculture.

Titled "Essentials of Space Technology in Agriculture", the six-day program will be held at Amity University, Noida, from July 27 to August 1, 2025. Applications are open until July 11.

The initiative is designed for academicians, industry professionals, researchers, and graduates, offering insights into how satellite data, remote sensing, and other space-based innovations can enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability. Final-year students are not eligible.

The course fee is INR 15,000 (inclusive of meals), with optional accommodation at INR 900/day. Participants will be required to take a final-day quiz, with certificates awarded upon successful completion.

To register, applicants must first make the payment via bharatkosh.gov.in, download the receipt, and then submit their application through the IN-SPACe portal (inspace.gov.in) under:
Opportunities → Explore the Opportunities and Apply → Register for Short-Term Course.

Applicants are advised not to book travel until they receive confirmation from IN-SPACe, which will shortlist final participants. Queries can be directed to director-pd@inspace.gov.in.

This course is part of a larger effort to promote cross-disciplinary collaboration between India’s space ecosystem and its agriculture sector, especially as climate variability continues to pose challenges to food systems.
