SURAT, 29 May 2025: Agritech startup GROWiT India has raised $3 million in a Series A funding round led by GVFL, with additional participation from Veloce Opportunities Fund, JITO, We Founder Circle, Sunicon Ventures Fund, Progrowth Ventures, and Hyderabad Angels.

The funds will fuel expansion, R&D, and technology upgrades, further strengthening GROWiT’s foothold in sustainable farming.

Founded in Surat, GROWiT offers soil-to-harvest agritech solutions, including India’s first pocket-friendly soil testing device, mulch films, crop covers, and weed mats. The startup plans to deepen its domestic presence while expanding into Africa and emerging markets.

Backed by a 650+ franchise network, GROWiT currently operates across 12 Indian states and has served over 225,000 farmers. Its products have led to yield improvements of 40–100%, thanks to localized, climate-resilient technologies.

GVFL’s MD Mihir Joshi stated the fund’s commitment to climate-tech and sees GROWiT as a scalable model of affordable precision farming. CEO Saurabh Agarwal emphasized the startup's mission to build agricultural resilience through accessible innovation.

With India’s agritech sector projected to reach $30–35 billion by 2027, GROWiT aims to be a category-defining player, aligning sustainability with profitability for smallholder farmers.
