KOTA, 1 July 2025: Agritech innovator Eeki has raised $7 million in fresh funding from Sixth Sense Ventures, fueling its push to commercialize climate-resilient, soil-free farming solutions across India.

The funding will accelerate the rollout of the company’s Gen 3 aeroponic growing chambers while boosting research and development to expand its crop portfolio.

This latest round brings Eeki’s total capital raised over the past year to more than $10 million, reinforcing its strategy to build a scalable, water-efficient food production system capable of thriving amid growing environmental stress.

Eeki’s aeroponic system suspends plant roots in air while delivering nutrients through a precisely controlled mist, reducing water consumption by up to 95% compared with traditional soil farming. The technology enables year-round production with consistent quality and eliminates the need for pesticides — all while maintaining costs comparable to conventional methods.

“This funding marks a pivotal moment in our journey toward scaling climate-resilient farming across India and abroad,” said Abhay Singh, CEO and co-founder of Eeki. “The introduction of aeroponics in our Gen 3 chambers represents a paradigm shift in precision agriculture.”

Co-founder Amit Kumar emphasized that nearly 30% of the team is dedicated to advancing core technology to boost yield efficiency across various crops and regions. “This raise helps us perfect more crops across zones. With Sixth Sense’s consumer expertise, we aim to build Eeki’s positioning as a leader in nutrition and origin,” he said.

Against a backdrop of widespread soil degradation — with one-third of the world’s soil already degraded and 90% at risk by 2050 — Eeki’s climate-controlled, modular farming platform offers a scalable alternative to protect food security. The system is especially suited to India’s challenging agricultural conditions, where water scarcity and extreme weather often undermine traditional farming.

“Sustainable agriculture is critical to future food security,” said Nikhil Vora, Founder and CEO of Sixth Sense Ventures. “Eeki’s breakthrough model has proven itself in India’s toughest conditions, with superior cost efficiency and potential for global scalability.”

Combining agronomy, engineering, and AI-powered climate control, Eeki aims to deliver pesticide-free, nutrient-rich produce while preserving vital resources. As climate threats intensify, its approach could offer a crucial lifeline for food systems both in India and worldwide.
