VIJAYAWADA, 11 July 2025: Bank of Baroda (BoB) on Thursday inaugurated a dedicated Centre for Agriculture Marketing and Processing (CAMP) branch at its main office in Vijayawada, reinforcing its commitment to India’s agri-finance ecosystem.
The new branch aims to offer specialised banking support for agricultural marketing, infrastructure, and farm mechanisation, helping enhance credit access for farmers and agri-entrepreneurs in the region.
The branch was inaugurated in the presence of MR Gopal, Chief General Manager of NABARD Andhra Pradesh, along with Ritesh Kumar, General Manager & Zonal Head, and Anupam Srivastava, Deputy General Manager & Regional Head of BoB Vijayawada.
Credit Support and Symbolic Sanctions
To mark the occasion, sanction letters totalling INR 22.27 lakh were handed over to local farmers. These included:
INR 4.90 lakh under the Agri Infrastructure Fund for a drone package
INR 10.30 lakh for a four-wheeler loan
INR 7.07 lakh towards a tractor loan
Speaking at the event, MR Gopal underlined the importance of technology-driven agriculture and said that initiatives like these bridge the financing gap for small and marginal farmers. “Through such branches, we expect greater collaboration between NABARD and banks to improve rural prosperity,” he added.
The CAMP branch will offer curated financial products and advisory services for FPOs, SHGs, and rural enterprises, enabling inclusive growth in agri-marketing and processing segments.
