SANGAREDDY, 09 October 2016 : h1> Telangana Agriculture minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has said that Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural varsity will be turned into a jewel for Telangana.
He, along with Assembly deputy speaker Padma Devender Reddy, laid down the foundation stone for the university in Mulugu recently.
Addressing a press conference, he said that the university will be constructed with a cost of $274 million (Rs 1,831 crore) in the coming five years.
Srinivas Reddy said that the foundation of the university was officially laid on January 7 this year by the Central agriculture minister.
The building will be constructed using the green construction method, he added.
