MUMBAI, 15 December 2025: Matix Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited, promoted by Nishant Kanodia, has secured two national honours at the 2025 Fertiliser Association of India (FAI) Annual Seminar, underscoring its rapid rise as a leading domestic fertiliser producer. The company won the Best Production Performance Award for a Nitrogenous Fertiliser Plant for the second consecutive year, along with the Award for Improvement in Overall Performance of a Company.

The awards were presented during the inaugural session of the FAI Annual Seminar in New Delhi by Rajat Kumar Mishra, Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Fertilisers, to Matix Managing Director Manoj Mishra and Chief Operating Officer Giridhar Mishra. The recognition comes within just four years of Matix commencing full-scale operations, highlighting accelerated operational maturity.

In FY2025, Matix produced 1.47 million tonnes of urea, surpassing its rated capacity of 1.27 million tonnes per annum and achieving approximately 115% utilisation. The performance positions Matix among India’s most efficient nitrogenous fertiliser producers and aligns with national priorities around energy-efficient manufacturing, reduced import dependence, and climate-responsive industrial output.

Operating from its Panagarh facility in West Bengal, Matix has emerged as a critical supplier to Eastern India, accounting for nearly 20% of the region’s urea demand. The plant supports nutrient planning and timely availability for farmers, a key pillar of India’s food security strategy.

Matix operates across nine states through a network of more than 1,000 dealers and 60,000 retailers, with a diversified portfolio spanning urea, non-urea, and speciality fertilisers, reinforcing its role as one of India’s youngest yet fastest-growing fertiliser manufacturers.
