HYDERABAD, 24 June 2025: In a major push to support agricultural livelihoods, the Telangana Government has disbursed a staggering INR 8,284.66 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme to 67.01 lakh farmers across the state. The financial support, aimed at the Vanakalam (kharif) crop season, covers over 138.08 lakh acres of cultivable land in all 33 districts.

Disbursement began on June 16, targeting landholders in a phased manner. On Day 1, INR 23.49 crore was credited to 41.25 lakh small farmers owning up to two acres. Between June 17 and 21, the scheme extended to farmers with three to nine acres, while on June 23, INR 5.14 crore was disbursed to 81,571 medium landholders with up to 15 acres.

Officials from the Chief Minister’s Office highlighted that the scheme follows a graded payout system based on landholding, ensuring equity and timely financial relief to small, marginal, and medium farmers.

The largest beneficiary group comprised farmers holding up to five acres, totaling 62 lakh recipients. Among them, 24.22 lakh farmers owning less than one acre received a collective ₹812.63 crore, underlining the focus on vulnerable segments.

District-Level Impact

Nalgonda district topped the disbursement chart, with INR 679.19 crore disbursed to 5.13 lakh farmers.

Khammam, Nagarkurnool, Suryapet, and Sangareddy districts also saw over INR 350 crore each in assistance.

Even urban districts like Medchal-Malkajgiri and Warangal West reported wide coverage.

Constituency-Level Highlights

Achampet emerged as the top-performing constituency, with INR 147.95 crore reaching 1.02 lakh pattadars.

Other high-disbursement constituencies include Asifabad, Makthal, Thungathurthy, and Zaheerabad, each crossing the INR 100 crore mark.

With financial assistance now touching every corner of the state—from deep rural belts to peri-urban districts—the Rythu Bharosa scheme continues to serve as a pillar of farmer welfare in Telangana’s agricultural policy.
