VIJAYAWADA, 6 July 2025: Minister for Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare and NTR district in-charge Minister Satya Kumar Yadav has said that a visionary draft action plan has been prepared to drive the development of NTR district and its assembly constituencies.

The plan, built around local strengths and challenges, sets a target of doubling the district’s per capita income from INR 3,21,651 in 2023–24 to INR 6,38,946 by 2028–29, and to INR 62,88,851 by 2047–48.

The Minister chaired a review meeting at the district Collectorate on Saturday to discuss the district and constituency-level vision plans along with the Swarnandhra P4 Foundation framework. District Collector Lakshmisha presented the district’s roadmap, while special officers shared plans tailored to each of the seven constituencies — Vijayawada East, Central and West, Nandigama, Jaggaiahpet, Tiruvuru, and Mylavaram.

Discussions covered opportunities in agriculture, industry, services, tourism, food processing, Zero Budget Natural Farming, Farmer Producer Organisations, and farm mechanisation. The Minister said that with an annual average growth target of 18.5 percent, these areas are key drivers of inclusive development.

He highlighted excellent opportunities in agriculture and food processing, especially in Mylavaram, which is known for its industrial and tourism potential. “P4 represents a crucial step in ensuring good governance, aligned with the Swarnandhra vision,” Satya Kumar said.

MP Kesineni Sivanath underscored the importance of skill development to generate sustainable jobs for youth, proposing an automobile skill training centre at Autonagar and Eat Streets across Vijayawada. He also stressed the need to help entrepreneurs establish food processing units and to maximise central schemes to achieve development goals.

District Collector Lakshmisha assured that suggestions from public representatives would be duly considered for implementation.

The meeting was attended by MLAs Sriram Rajagopal (Tatayya), Gadde Rammohan, K Srinivas Rao, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, Swachh Andhra Corporation Chairman K Pattabhiram, KDCC Chairman Nettem Raghuram, Joint Collector S Ilakkiya, Vijayawada Municipal Commissioner Dhyanchandra HM, and senior officials.
