MUMBAI, 29 October 2025: Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced a new groundnut thresher, expanding its farm machinery portfolio to more than 30 models across crops and regions. The tractor-powered machine is targeted at farmers in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
According to the company, the thresher is designed to reduce crop loss and damage while improving operational efficiency. The machine separates groundnuts from pods with greater precision, helping farmers cut labour costs and speed up harvesting operations.
The compact product features ergonomic design elements and allows real-time monitoring of grain quality to minimise wastage. Mahindra said the thresher will help improve tractor utilisation and offer flexibility for early harvesting followed by delayed threshing based on field conditions.
Mahindra first entered the thresher market over a decade ago with two models for paddy and wheat and has since built a wider range tailored to diverse regional requirements. It currently claims the largest product portfolio in the domestic thresher segment.
“We have worked closely with groundnut farmers to deliver a mechanisation solution that is easy to use and supports timely harvesting,” said Dr. Anusha Kothandaraman, Vice President and Business Head – Farm Machinery & Precision Farming at Mahindra. She added that the new model will be sold through Mahindra Farm Machinery outlets and select tractor dealerships in the four states.
Mahindra said it continues to support buyers with a one-season warranty and assured spare parts access under its “customer-first” service strategy.
