The session, held in Srinagar, involved senior officers, field functionaries, and key stakeholders from agriculture and allied departments. Discussions revolved around the implementation of the Annual Work Plan and Budget (AWPB) for FY 2025–26, with particular attention to component-wise progress.

Accelerating Innovation and Impact

Kumar emphasized the timely and efficient execution of JKCIP initiatives, particularly those focused on climate-resilient practices, agricultural innovation, and sustainability. “We must align grassroots implementation with the strategic goals of JKCIP and proactively address any operational hurdles,” he urged.

The review also covered convergence opportunities with other government agriculture missions and schemes, ensuring that resources and efforts are synergized for greater impact across Jammu and Kashmir’s rural landscape.

Focus on Inclusivity and Monitoring

Appreciating the commitment of field-level officers, the Secretary encouraged them to maintain momentum in meeting project milestones. He highlighted the need for enhanced monitoring, robust documentation, and increased focus on empowering women, youth, and vulnerable farming communities.

The meeting ended with a unified commitment from all departments and participants to work in collaboration, aiming for a transformational shift in the region’s agriculture sector, rooted in innovation, resilience, and social inclusion.
