NEW DELHI, 1 September 2025: The Centre has expanded digital agricultural reforms with the National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) and strengthened farmers’ incomes through higher Minimum Support Prices (MSPs) and procurement under PM-AASHA.

Launched in 2016, the e-NAM platform now connects 1,522 mandis across 23 States and four Union Territories, enabling farmers to bypass middlemen. According to official data, trade volumes on the platform rose 21% and trade values increased 22?tween June 2024 and June 2025.

The Government has also assured farmers of a minimum 50% return over the weighted average cost of production for 22 mandated crops since 2018-19. Between 2014-15 and June 2025, 315.19 lakh metric tonnes of produce—including oilseeds, pulses and copra—worth ₹1.69 lakh crore were procured.

To further protect farmers’ earnings, the Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA) continues to provide price support through the Price Support Scheme (PSS) and Price Deficiency Payment Scheme (PDPS).

Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shri Ramnath Thakur shared the details in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.
