BENGALURU, 2 July 2025: VST Tillers Tractors Ltd on Monday reported a sharp 93% year-on-year growth in its total sales for June 2025, driven by booming demand for power tillers across India’s farms.
The Bengaluru-based manufacturer sold 7,149 units in June 2025, nearly doubling the 3,710 units recorded during the same month last year. Sales of power tillers were particularly strong, jumping to 6,651 units compared with 3,128 units a year earlier. Tractor sales, by contrast, declined to 498 units in June 2025 from 582 units in June 2024.
For the April–June 2025 quarter, VST Tillers Tractors sold a total of 12,955 units — a 75.5% increase from 7,382 units in the same period last year. Of these, 11,701 were power tillers and 1,254 were tractors.
The company attributed the robust performance to growing mechanization needs among Indian farmers, particularly as rural demand and government support programs continue to drive investment in small-scale farm equipment.
“The growth momentum in the power tiller segment reflects a structural shift toward efficient mechanized solutions for India’s small and marginal farmers,” VST said in a statement.
VST Tillers Tractors expects continued positive traction for both its power tiller and tractor segments over the coming quarters, supported by favorable monsoon conditions and rising rural incomes.
The company noted that these reported sales figures are provisional and unaudited, subject to final confirmation.
