MUMBAI, 2 July 2025: Escorts Kubota Ltd on Tuesday reported a 2.2% year-on-year growth in its total tractor sales for June 2025, supported by favorable monsoon conditions and improved farmer sentiment.
The company’s Agri Machinery Business Division sold 11,498 tractors in June, compared to 11,245 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales were largely steady at 10,997 units, slightly down from 11,011 units a year ago.
The timely arrival of the southwest monsoon, higher Kharif sowing area, and an increase in Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for key Kharif crops have supported rural optimism, Escorts Kubota said in its statement.
In the export market, the company recorded robust growth, selling 501 tractors in June 2025 versus 234 in June 2024 — a 114% jump.
For the April–June 2025 quarter, Escorts Kubota sold a total of 30,581 tractors, essentially flat compared to 30,370 units sold in the same period last year. Export volumes rose 80.3% in the first quarter to 1,733 units, offsetting a slight 1.9?cline in domestic sales.
Looking ahead, Escorts Kubota expects healthy demand to continue for the rest of the year, citing forecasts of an above-normal monsoon, higher rural liquidity, and a potential record Kharif harvest.
In a related corporate update, the company confirmed that the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in Chandigarh had approved the amalgamation of Escorts Kubota India Private Limited and Kubota Agricultural Machinery India Private Limited with Escorts Kubota Limited. The certified copy of the scheme was filed with the Registrar of Companies on September 1, 2024, and the reported sales volumes reflect the numbers of these merged entities.
