The Compound Livestock Feed Manufacturers Association (CLFMA) of India, in partnership with Gokul Milk, hosted a groundbreaking seminar on “Sustainable Dairy Farming and Innovations” at Regal Hall, Residency Club, Tarabai Park, Kolhapur.

KOLHAPUR, 10 May 2025: The Compound Livestock Feed Manufacturers Association (CLFMA) of India, in partnership with Gokul Milk, hosted a groundbreaking seminar on “Sustainable Dairy Farming and Innovations” at Regal Hall, Residency Club, Tarabai Park, Kolhapur.

The event brought together dairy leaders, veterinarians, and agri-tech innovators to drive awareness on high-yield, ethical, and sustainable dairy practices in India.

The seminar, steered by S. V. Bhave (Past Chairman, CLFMA), and inaugurated by Mr. Divya Kumar Gulati (Chairman, CLFMA), featured prominent leaders from Gokul including Navid Mushrif, Ajit Narake, and Yogesh Godbole. Other key directors like Yuvraj Patil, Nandkumar Dhenge, Prakash Patil, S. R. Patil, and Bayaji Shelake were also in attendance.

“This collaboration with Gokul underscores CLFMA’s commitment to modernizing India’s dairy sector through sustainable innovations, TMR (Total Mixed Ration), and farmer-first solutions,” Mr. Gulati said, emphasizing the need for improved veterinary care, nutrition strategies, and climate-resilient practices to enhance productivity and milk quality.

Key Highlights of the Seminar:

  • Dr. Vijay Magre (Gokul): Spoke on ethical veterinary practices and livestock welfare.

  • Dr. Pritpal Singh: Addressed modern stress-relief techniques for cattle and the value of TMR in nutrition.

  • Munish Sharma: Shared scalable dairy innovations from Punjab.

  • Dr. Niteen Markande: Advocated for greater use of buffalo-based dairy for rural upliftment.

  • Dr. Shinde (Cargill) & Dr. Pandey (Lallemand): Introduced silage and feeding solutions tailored to small-scale farmers.

A panel moderated by S.V. Bhave explored future-ready dairy strategies, with experts like Dr. Mahajan, Dr. Patil, Dr. Markande, and Dr. Salunke.

The event concluded with remarks from Arun Ganpatrao Dongale, Chairman of Gokul, and a vote of thanks by Dr. Saikat Saha, recognizing the event's impact in fostering knowledge and partnerships for a more prosperous dairy future.
