India's export of Soybean meal and its other value added products (HS Code 2304 and 1208) during August 2017 was recorded at 50,000 tonnes as compared to 27,000 tonnes in August 2016 showing an increase of 86% over the same period of last year.
The Soybean Processors Association of India (SOPA) in a statement said that on a financial year basis, the export during April 2017 to August 2017 is 557,000 tonnes as compared to 147,000 tonnes in the same period of previous year showing an increase of 280%.
During current Oil year, (October – September), total exports during October 2016 to August 2017 is 1.73 million tonnes as against 375,000 tonnes during the same period last year, showing an increase of 362.13%, a prominent trade associations of India said.
