NEW DELHI, 10 July 2020: Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT) a PSU under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has placed purchase orders for import of three shipments of fertilizers. Out of this, two shipments have already arrived.
In this one shipment is of 27500 MT of MOP and the other one is of 27500 MT of Complex Fertilizer. The third shipment is of MOP .which is expected to arrive in August.
During 2019-20 financial year, the company recorded an increase in turnover at INR 2770 crore, as compared to INR 1955 crore posted during the 2018-19 fiscal year.
Posts INR 976 crore profit during 2019-20
During the period, the company also posted an increase in profit at INR 976 crore, as compared to profit of INR 163 crore recorded during the previous year.
The company also posted an encouraging performance on the production and marketing front during first three months of 2020-21.
The Company is planning to restart Caprolactam operations during the financial year 2020-2021 after completing major maintenance activities and installing online effluent monitoring facilities. Trial run of the plants has been completed.
Production records all time high
During the Financial Year 2019-20, Factamfos (NP 20:20:0:13) production was at 8.45 lakh metric tonnes is an all time high record, surpassing the previous best of 8.38 lakh metric tonnes during 2000-01.
Ammonium sulphate production was recorded at 2.21 lakh metric tonnes is the highest in 19 years period.
Factamfos sale of 8.35 lakh metric tonnes is also the highest in last 19 years period as also ammonium sulphate sale was at 2.36 lakh metric tonnes.
All time high city compost sale was 13103 metric tonnes for the year, against the previous best of 9370 metric tonnes.
During the year the Company extended fertilizer marketing operations to PAN-INDIA, enlarging marketing network to West Bengal, Orissa, Maharashtra & Gujarat.
As a first step, the company started marketing ammonium sulphate in the states of Maharashtra and West Bengal.
