BALAGHAT, 20 May 2023: Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare  Narendra Singh Tomar inaugurated a number of honey-related facilities in Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh, on the occasion of World Bee Day.

The facilities include honey testing labs, bee box manufacturing units, and trading, branding, and marketing units.

The honey testing labs will help to ensure the quality of honey produced in India. The bee box manufacturing units will help to increase the production of honey. The trading, branding, and marketing units will help to promote the sale of honey both domestically and internationally.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Tomar said that beekeeping is a sustainable and profitable agricultural activity.

He said that the government is committed to promoting beekeeping and has launched a number of schemes to support this activity.

Tomar also said that bees play an important role in pollination. He said that pollination is essential for food production and that bees are responsible for pollinating a wide variety of crops.

The inauguration of the honey-related facilities in Balaghat is a significant step in the government's efforts to promote beekeeping and pollination.

The facilities will help to improve the quality, production, and marketing of honey, which will benefit beekeepers and farmers across India.
