MELBOURNE / Australia, 19 June 2025: Topcon Agriculture, a global leader in precision farming solutions, has announced the launch of its Value Line Steering system, a cost-effective autosteering solution designed to bring precision farming within reach for small and medium-sized farmers. The system enables sub-5 cm accuracy even on decades-old tractors, offering a critical productivity upgrade amid rising input costs.
The Value Line Steering solution is compatible with a wide range of tractors, including front-wheel-steer models and machines with ISOBUS-UT compliance. Designed for simplicity and ease of use, it allows farmers—regardless of their prior experience with advanced machinery—to quickly adopt precision guidance on their existing equipment.
“With diesel, fertiliser, and chemical costs all rising, it’s more important than ever to maximise efficiency,” said Aaron Freeman, a fourth-generation farmer from Koolunga, South Australia. “The Value Line Steering system saves resources, reduces overlap, and boosts profitability.”
Gary Grigson, a seasoned farm manager, highlighted the operational efficiency the system enables:
“Your fuel usage is lower because you’re not overlapping. It’s more efficient all around—including chemical application—because you minimise mistakes at the ends when turning.”
One of the most remarkable features is the system’s ability to retrofit older tractors—even those with over 9,000 hours of usage—to deliver high-precision steering. “I didn’t think you could get a 35-year-old tractor to steer with this level of precision—but now it’s possible,” added Freeman. “It’s a game-changer for maximising the value of all farm equipment.”
The launch aligns with Topcon’s mission to advance sustainable and scalable precision agriculture. By offering an affordable, user-friendly entry point into digital farming, Topcon is empowering more farmers to enhance yields, reduce waste, and improve profitability—especially critical as agriculture faces growing economic and climate challenges.
