Otipy, India’s first community group buying platform for fresh produce, today announced the appointment of Amresh Kumar as Chief Product Officer.

NEW DELHI, 12 February 2022: Otipy, India’s first community group buying platform for fresh produce, today announced the appointment of Amresh Kumar as Chief Product Officer.

An industry veteran, Amresh comes with 16 years of experience of being the product head at various renowned brands like Times Internet (E-commerce venture), Cardekho.com and Unified Messaging Systems (now Everbridge) . He holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from IIT Kharagpur.

In his last stint, Amresh was the Head of Analytics and Product Strategy at Times Internet.

At Otipy, he will be responsible for spearheading the product verticals across its Consumer, Community Leader and Farmer ecosystems as well as driving products for Otipy’s tech-powered fast supply chain that enables consumers to get the freshest product at the lowest price.

Otipy is the market leader in NCR and moves more than 100 tonnes of fresh produce everyday from farm to consumers. It serves more than 4 Lakh consumers in Delhi NCR leveraging its 20,000+ community leader network. Otipy procures its produce from more than 10,000 farmers across Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.

Leveraging its unique prediction-based model, Otipy has been able to decrease food wastage in the supply chain from 40% down to just 3%.
