MONHEIM / Germany, 14 July 2025: Global agrochemical giant Bayer has expanded its partnership with France-based M2i Group to distribute pheromone-based biological crop protection solutions across Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and the United States. This development builds on the successful launch of M2i’s VYNYTY Press series in Europe and Africa.

Bayer had signed its initial agreement with M2i Group in 2023, granting it exclusive distribution rights for select M2i products in Europe and some African nations. These products target lepidoptera and sucking pests in high-value crops like grapes, tomatoes, and stone fruits.

Now, the collaboration has entered a broader phase, extending Bayer’s rights to strategic agricultural regions globally. “Effective products with low or no residue are an important part of Bayer's biological portfolio,” said Ralf Glaubitz, Head of Crop Protection Product Team, Crop Science Division at Bayer. “We are excited to strengthen our collaboration and enhance Bayer's biological offerings.”

The VYNYTY Press line leverages M2i’s innovative “Press” technology — a thick gel-based pheromone formulation dispensed directly onto crops using a reusable pressurized bottle. The solution significantly reduces plastic waste and ensures precision delivery.

M2i Group CEO Phillippe Guerret emphasized its eco-conscious design. “The bottle is reusable, and this direct application approach helps growers avoid using plastic applicators. It saves time and reduces waste,” he said.

The technology has already seen success across Europe and parts of Africa, with VYNYTY Tuta Press adopted by tomato growers in Morocco, Turkey, and several EU nations. In Chile, the same gel-based application has been used on grapes to combat Lobesia moths.

M2i, a European leader in pheromone manufacturing, specializes in developing complex molecules for environmentally safe pest control. Bayer’s integration of M2i products complements its digital pest monitoring tools and broader biological portfolio, offering a sustainable, tech-driven solution to global pest pressures.

The partnership reflects Bayer’s commitment to open innovation and sustainable agriculture at scale.
