BENGALURU, 15 July 2025: Cropin, the world’s largest deployed AI platform for agriculture, has announced a strategic partnership with IT major Wipro to accelerate digital transformation across the agribusiness sector and allied consumer industries. The collaboration aims to reshape how global agribusinesses and food supply chains operate in the face of climate risks, supply disruptions, and regulatory shifts.

The partnership will integrate Cropin’s agri-intelligence platform with Wipro’s global technology consulting and domain strengths across retail, food services, and consumer packaged goods (CPG). Together, they aim to offer AI-powered solutions that address three of the sector’s most persistent barriers: low transparency, siloed data systems, and operational unpredictability.

“Climate change, geopolitical instability, and growing regulatory pressures are reshaping agribusiness,” said Krishna Kumar, Founder and CEO of Cropin. “With Wipro, we aim to build climate-resilient, data-driven supply chains that meet evolving compliance and traceability demands.”

The collaboration comes at a time when agribusinesses are navigating global climate uncertainty, rising input costs, and new laws like the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), which demands full traceability of agricultural commodities.

Shiva Jayaraman, SVP and Sector Head – Consumer Business, Americas 1 at Wipro, said, “AI is redefining the agribusiness value chain—from production to compliance and sustainability. Through this partnership, we are helping clients build intelligent ecosystems that deliver tangible outcomes.”

While the primary focus is agri-food, the companies note that the solutions developed will also support adjacent sectors such as quick-service restaurants (QSRs), food retail, and distribution, where traceability and climate resilience are increasingly critical.

The partnership aims to unlock farm-level insights, increase operational agility, and embed sustainability metrics throughout the value chain—offering a scalable model for the future of global food production.
