NEW DELHI, 12 January  2022: Krishify, an agritech company that is known for building the largest social network of farmers in India, has developed an agriculture chatbot named Bhoomi.

A 48-hour hackathon was conducted by Krishify's tech team to build a chatbot using GPT 3 - a language processing model that produces human-like text using deep learning.

The AI-driven chatbot has the feature to ask farmers any questions pertaining to farming and ancillary activities and get instant and accurate responses. The questions can be related to crops, tractors, mandi prices, government schemes, or any other farming challenges.

Commenting on the occasion Rajesh Ranjan, Co-Founder of Krishify, "At the heart of Bhoomi lies the idea to help farmers make informed decisions. This chatbot will help them consume relevant information instantly and enhance their knowledge which will go a long way in improving their economic prospects."

An intelligent virtual assistant, Bhoomi, can run large databases to give accurate results in a matter of a few seconds. It is unique compared to other virtual assistant technologies as it precisely answers queries regarding agriculture helping farmers increase their knowledge and skills on farming solutions.

Boilerplate: Krishify is a social networking and commerce platform for farmers that has become the largest online community of farmers in India with more than 1 crore users. AgriTech social network Krishify was founded in 2019 by three IITians Rajesh Ranjan, Avinash Kumar and Manish Agrawal.
