AMSTERDAM / Netherlands, 24 June 2025: Netherlands-based agtech startup Doktar Technologies has secured €7.5 million in funding to expand its data-driven, AI-powered solutions aimed at transforming agriculture into a more sustainable, efficient, and traceable industry. The funding round was co-led by the European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF) and Dutch impact investor Pymwymic, with continued backing from existing investor Diffusion Capital Partners (DCP).

Founded in 2017 by Tanzer Bilgen and Selim Ucer, Doktar’s platform combines real-time farm monitoring, decision support tools, and verified sustainability metrics to make regenerative agriculture both practical and profitable. The company currently operates in more than 10 countries and manages over 250,000 hectares of regenerative farmland.

The investment marks a milestone in Doktar’s mission to scale its integrated product portfolio and execution model across Europe, North America, and South America. “This funding enables us to digitally transform agriculture at a global scale while deepening our ability to meet growing demand for integrated, data-driven solutions,” said co-founders Bilgen and Ucer.

Doktar’s technology stack connects Internet of Things (IoT) devices, AI analytics, and smart software to deliver actionable insights for farmers and corporates alike. The platform is already used by six of the ten largest global food and beverage companies to enhance supply chain sustainability and climate resilience.

Backers say the startup’s appeal lies in its ability to merge agronomic expertise with scalable technology. “We invested in Doktar because their approach uniquely combines agronomic insight, measurable environmental outcomes, and scalable solutions,” said Isabelle Laurencin, Partner at ECBF, a fund focused exclusively on advancing the bio-based circular economy.

Pymwymic, a community of European impact investors, echoed this sentiment. “Doktar supports both farmers and corporates in making smarter, more sustainable choices. Their platform has enormous potential for impact,” said Rogier Pieterse, Partner at Pymwymic.

Doktar’s Climate Sustainability Impact (CSI) platform stands out as a key asset in its offerings. It helps food producers and agribusinesses monitor and verify sustainable practices—from crop efficiency to traceability—across diverse regions and crop systems.

As global agriculture faces growing pressure to meet both environmental and productivity goals, Doktar is positioning itself as a digital backbone for the industry. Its tools are already enabling measurable change, and this latest investment signals strong investor confidence in a future of smarter, greener farming.
