GoI to provide financial assistance under MIDH for setting up cold storages facility

Government does not provide loans for the setting up of cold storage under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH). However, Government is implementing the following schemes under which financial assistance is provided for setting up cold storage throughout the country.

As per available information, there are 8186 numbers of cold storages with capacity of 374.25 Lakh MT (37.44 million tonnes) is available in the country for storing perishable horticulture produce like fruits and vegetables.
