APEDA collaborates with Ladakh officials to boost farmers’ income via unique agricultural produce

To give a boost to exports of agricultural produce from Ladakh, which would enhance farmers’ as well as entrepreneurs’ income, The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) in association with officials of the horticulture, agriculture, commerce, and industry departments of Union Territory and Defence Institute of High-Altitude Research (DIHAR) are working out a comprehensive plan of actions.

NDDB inks MoU with Ladakh to promote livelihoods from dairying

With a view to promote dairying and rural livelihoods in the Union Territory of Ladakh, NDDB and UT Administration of Ladakh signed an MoU for conducting a benchmark survey in the newly formed UT. NDDB’s dairy potential survey will help prepare a road map to boost dairying in the UT and will help in enhancing income of the rural population in the mountainous border areas.
