In a landmark move to revolutionize Indian agriculture, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, launched the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA-2025) at the ICAR–Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (ICAR-CIFA) in Kausalyaganga, Bhubaneswar.

The ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Bhubaneswar, Odisha joins hands with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and a local NGO i.e., Bali Nature Life Society as technical partner for the novel initiative for developing livelihood through farmers’ collective initiated at Kumirmari, Gosaba, South 24 Pargana, Sundarbans, West Bengal recently.

ICAR-CIFA signed MoU for the establishment of rohu multiplier units

In order to increase production of Rohu fish that are consumed across India, Indian Council of Agricultural Research’s Central Institute Of Freshwater Aquaculture (CIFA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with hatchery owners to multiply rohu fish.
