This 77th edition has attracted the highest ever participation from Indian exhibitors of agricultural machinery, implements and spare parts.

Clearly, Indian companies are increasingly using SIMA as a platform to promote their products to French and European buyers, as well as visitors from francophone Africa.
SIMA continues to assert its vocation as the international exhibition for all of the technologies and solutions for high-performance and sustainable agriculture in all its forms.
EVER-INCREASING INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITOR NUMBERS
SIMA continues to attract exhibitors from a wide range of countries. This increased international contingent is illustrated by the arrival of new participants, most notably exhibitors from Korea, China and India, but also from Turkey and North America. 1 770 companies are expected to participate from 42 countries, with 8% more foreign exhibitors than 2015 edition across 13 exhibition sectors.
SIMA – A CONTACT FACILITATOR
At a time when the international agriculture sector is facing major challenges, this SIMA exhibition will mobilize all sector professionals in France and internationally. In addition, the entire exhibition will focus on specific solutions to the concerns that farming is currently facing. It will be positioned as a contact facilitating tool between sector stakeholders with major events such as the SIMA Dealer’s Day- ting and the SIMA African Summit.
INNOVATION – A PROMISING FUTURE
Innovation will again be central to this SIMA exhibition. The 2017 topic, “Being a farmer in 10 years” will provide a comprehensive overview of the farming world with contributions from all areas, including beyond the farming environment: Aerospace Valley, the French Atomic Energy and Alternative Energy Commission (CEA), Engineering schools from six countries, and more.
The SIMA 2017 exhibition will be innovative in more ways than one, in particular with the Start-up Village, bringing together young companies from the digital world; API-AGRO Hackathon: 48 hours to create innovative agricultural applications; the Agreen’Startup, the startup competition for reinventing farming; and numerous innovations presented by its exhibitors. 600 new products are to be discovered at the exhibition and over 120 applications for the SIMA Innovation Awards: initiatives that prove the determination of an entire sector to innovate to stand out.
