(NSPL), a leading player in the agricultural industry, has taken a significant leap towards elevating Indian agriculture with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art greenhouse facility. This cutting-edge greenhouse, covering an impressive 58,000 square feet, is dedicated to advancing Plant Pathology and Seed Health operations, reinforcing NSPL's commitment to providing world-class agricultural solutions to Indian farmers.
The inauguration ceremony, attended by key stakeholders and industry experts, was marked by Gurmukh Roopra, Namdhari’s Group CEO, who highlighted the importance of scientific solutions in addressing the challenges faced by farmers. This research endeavor aims to increase crop yields while reducing the reliance on pesticides, contributing to sustainable and environmentally friendly farming practices. Simultaneously, the Seed Health units will play a crucial role in developing, validating, and aligning pathogen testing protocols with international standards such as ISTA (International Seed Testing Association) and ISF (International Seed Federation). The facility will serve as a cornerstone for testing seeds for various purposes, including commercial use, research, and both domestic and foreign markets.
This significant milestone comes on the heels of NSPL's recent achievements in laboratory accreditation. Three of NSPL's laboratories, namely Quality Control (QC), Molecular Biology, and Seed Health, received accreditation from the prestigious National Accreditation Board for Testing & Calibration Laboratories (NABL). This accomplishment places NSPL among the select few companies in India to hold accreditation for all three testing laboratories, reinforcing its commitment to excellence in agriculture.
