GUNTUR, 13 July 2025: Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), based in Lam, Guntur, has announced admissions for a new batch of online certificate courses in agriculture, aimed at upskilling farmers, youth, and women across Andhra Pradesh and beyond.

In a press statement issued on Friday, Registrar G. Ramachandra Rao said the courses are being offered via the University’s Distance Education Centre and will commence in July 2025.

Practical, Skill-Based Courses at Affordable Cost

The eight-week certificate programmes are available in Organic Farming, Terrace Gardening, and Mushroom Cultivation — subjects selected to promote sustainable agriculture and boost self-employment opportunities in rural and urban communities alike.

The fee for each course is INR 1,500, and applicants must register by July 15, 2025. Participants must also have access to either a computer or an Android smartphone, as the modules will be delivered entirely online.

“These courses are tailored for small and marginal farmers, homemakers, and unemployed youth,” the registrar added. “Our goal is to democratise agricultural education and ensure practical, income-generating skills reach every corner of the state.”
