Tata Chemicals wins the CII Industry–Academia Partnership Award 2025 for R&D excellence and collaborative innovation.

NEW DELHI, 23 December 2025: Tata Chemicals on Tuesday said it was recognised for its research and development efforts at the CII Industry–Academia Partnership Summit 2025, underscoring its focus on collaborative innovation in India’s manufacturing sector.

The company was named the Grand Jury Winner in the Large Manufacturing category at the CII Industry–Academia Partnership Awards, which honour organisations building long-term, impactful research collaborations with academic institutions.

The summit, held at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, brought together representatives from industry, academia and government to discuss ways to strengthen India’s research and innovation ecosystem.

Tata Chemicals showcased recent product innovations and ongoing collaborations with Indian research institutes at the event. Its exhibition stall drew interest from business leaders, researchers and policymakers, the company said.

India’s Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh addressed the inaugural session and later visited the exhibition area, interacting with industry and academic participants.

Richard Lobo, head of innovation and business excellence at Tata Chemicals, said the recognition reinforced the company’s commitment to science-led growth through partnerships between industry and academia.

The summit, themed “Catalysing India’s Rise as an R&D Powerhouse,” focused on emerging technologies and collaboration models aimed at accelerating innovation across sectors.
