Agribazaar brings agri-mandi to the farmer's doorstep

Agribazaar, India’s premier online agri-trading company recently announced the successful launch of its Village Fulfillment Center (VFC) across the two states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

MUMBAI, 26 May 2021: Agribazaar, India’s premier online agri-trading company recently announced the successful launch of its Village Fulfillment Center (VFC) across the two states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Currently, 25 company-owned VFC’s are operating in agri-centers like Latur, Akola, Nagpur, Alwar, Bundi, Dewas, Jaipur,Guna, Vidisha, Ashoknagar, Datia, Harda, Ujjain, Neemuch, Khargone, Parbani, etc.

The 2,000-5,000 square feet Fulfillment Center has been designed to ensure a quick turnaround for the farmer in selling the produce. Each center is equipped with a Quality Lab, Electronic Weighing Area, Internet connectivity, and display of agribazaar portal. It is operated by personnel from the company.

Speaking on this, Agribazaar co-founder & CEO Amith Agarwal said, "Today every village in this country aspires to have its local healthcare center, primary school, post-office, bank, and similar facilities. Similarly, we want to ensure that every Indian village has its self-sufficient buying and selling opportunity, and they need not travel to faraway places. Our VFC’s have got an enthusiastic response from the farmer community. With quality and weightage of produce being ascertained correctly and connecting with buyers digitally on an India basis, it is a convenience and habit shift that we wish to bring in the Indian agri-ecosystem."

"Through our VFC and agribazaar app, we wish to bring the e-mandi to every Indian village, thereby empowering Indian farmers in their socio-economic prosperity. This measure will also contribute to our country's program to reduce post-harvest losses and bring fair and transparent price discovery mechanism at the doorstep of every Indian farm-owner,” Agarwal stressed. 

The company plans to open VFC’s across every village in the country which has internet connectivity.
