COIMBATORE, 14 August 2025: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VST Tillers Tractors Ltd. to promote small farm mechanization across Tamil Nadu.

The agreement aims to advance research, training, and awareness in compact farm machinery to support small and marginal farmers. Areas of collaboration include developing innovative machinery, training students in modern technologies, field testing VST equipment under local conditions, and offering internships at VST’s facilities, including its upcoming Global Technology Development Centre in Hosur.

The MoU was signed by VST Tillers Tractors CEO Antony Cherukara and TNAU Registrar Dr. R. Thamizh Vendan in the presence of senior officials from both institutions.

Cherukara said the partnership aligns with VST’s vision to deliver affordable mechanization solutions tailored to India’s smallholders. Dr. Thamizh Vendan noted the collaboration would bridge the gap between academic research and practical farm applications, ensuring modern technology reaches grassroots farmers.
